Reduction of Asphaltenes and Paraffin

A Chinese oil field well with a rod pump lift system had a pay zone depth of 2620-3048 meters. The well temperature ranged from 103-110°C with a pour point range at 35-41°C. Paraffin content was 17.1-38%, and the asphaltene content was at 5.2-6.8%.

Treatment with Micro-Bac International Bacterial Products for Oil Fields began. The well was treated three times with a 75% Para-Bac S and 25% BenBac mixture down the annulus.

The use of Micro-Bac International bacterial products in this operation proved to be an effective and economical treatment for treating buildups of asphaltenes and paraffin in the oil field industry, as noted in the tables below.
