- Pour point: 35-41 degrees C; Pay zone depth: 2620-3048 meters
- Paraffin content: 17.1-38%
- Asphaltene content: 5.2-6.8%
- Rod pump lift system
Project This well was experiencing asphaltene and paraffin deposition problems. A microbial treatment plan was developed and initiated to improve operations.
Method The well was treated three times with a 75% Para-Bac/S and 25% Ben-Bac mixture down the annulus.
Results Overall, this well showed a 55% decrease in asphaltenes and a 121% increase in produced oil.
