The Company
Micro-Bac International, Inc. is a privately owned research, development, and manufacturing facility that supplies bacterial products to a number of industries for a variety of purposes. Each of the product lines manufactured by Micro-Bac® contain strains of bacteria specifically selected for their appetite. Numerous strains can be combined for their ability to establish synergistic ecosystems that enhance their remediation capabilities.
The Markets Served
Oil Production - Para-Bac® products are used to control paraffin, corrosion, and scale in producing oil wells, as well as in microbial enhanced oil recovery (MEOR). Para-Bac is also used in above-ground production facilities to keep tanks, separators, and flow lines clean.
Storage Tank Cleaning - Para-Bac® products are used to reduce paraffin and various emulsions in tanks to improve the materials' flow characteristics and increase the amount of oil that can be recovered from the tank. Para-Bac can also be used in conjunction with M-1000® products to reduce sludge and VOC and LEL in tanks.
Hazardous and Contaminated Waste - M-1000® products are used to augment in situ or ex situ bioremediation, sludge lagoons, landfarming, pump and treat systems, bioreactors, soil washing, waste minimization, and tank cleaning.
Lakes, Ponds, and Lagoons - Micro-Bac® products are used to control odor and to degrade organic materials that collect in large bodies of water. They are also used to treat wastewater systems, animal waste, septic tanks, and seasonal/portable toilets.
Food Processing Operations - Mega-Bac® products are used to accelerate natural degradation of wastes such as fat, oil, milk, starch, protein, and other biologically derived waste in grease traps, drain lines, and septic tanks.
Product Safety and Technical Services
All Micro-Bac products are natural, non-pathogenic, and are not genetically engineered. They were developed by Micro-Bac's research and development laboratories and are manufactured under strict quality guidelines with batch and lot control. No special clothing or equipment is necessary to handle the product. Micro-Bac products meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements for release into the environment.
Laboratory Services - Micro-Bac's laboratories provide extensive research and development, as well as analytical services including bacterial analysis, treatability tests, and biodegradation studies.
