General Description

Mega-Bac X® Granulated is a proprietary combination of specially selected biologicals and biochemicals used to accelerate biodegradation of wastes in municipal wastewater systems, ponds, lagoons, animal waste collecting systems, food processing plants and grease traps. It degrades unsaturated fat, oil, milk, starch, protein, and other biologicallyderived waste. The metabolic processes of Mega-Bac X® Granulated microbes produce biochemicals and enzymes that break down targeted wastes. Mega-Bac X® Granulated is also utilized to reduce BOD, COD, TSS. Mega-Bac X® Granulated comes as a readyto- use dry formulation.

Product Formula

Mega-Bac X® Granulated includes multiple strains of facultative microbes which are active in aerobic or anaerobic conditions.

Measuring

Micro-Bac’s technical staff can provide dosage recommendations based on the design and volume requirements of the system to be treated. When the treatment protocol calls for treatment in pounds, a scale may be used to measure the product. For easy reference, a 32 ounce drinking cup (one quart) equals one-half pound. A one-gallon container will hold 2 pounds.

Application

Mega-Bac X® Granulated can be applied manually or by volumetric feeders. Mega-Bac X® Granulated performs within a pH range of 5 to 9, with best activity at a pH of 7. The temperature range for treatment with Mega- Bac X® Granulated is 40°F to 110°F (5°C to 45°C). To disperse over a wide area, such as the surface of a lagoon or waste pit, the product can be mixed with tap water and then sprayed or sprinkled. The better the surface area coverage, the faster the product will work For flowing waste streams, the product should be applied as far up the stream as practical.

Handling and Safety

Mega-Bac X® Granulated is a non-pathogenic, biological product that meets EPA requirements for release into the environment and is approved for use in facilities regulated by the USDA. Special clothing or equipment are not required for handling Mega-Bac X® Granulated. Routine hygiene should be observed.

Shipping and Storage

Mega-Bac X® Granulated is shipped in 5- kilogram (11 lbs) pails and has a shelf-life of approximately one year if properly stored at 50 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit and sealed tightly after each use, F.O.B. Round Rock, Texas.
