Micro-Bac International, Inc. was proud to be represented at NASA Technology Day on the Hill , Tuesday, March 15, 2011, by Dennis Ray Schneider, PhD , Vice-President and Director for Research & Development and Zeta Angelich, Director of Marketing. The event was a great success showcasing innovative technologies such as Micro-Bac's microbial solutions, the Robonaut R2, sailing in space, parachutes for planes.and much more. Those in attendence were congressional leaders, their staff, and NASA officials.

Through Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contracts with Marshall Space Flight Center, Micro-Bac Internaitonal, Inc., developed a phototrophic cell for water purification in space. As a result of that collaboration, Micro-Bac was able to develop and commercialize Mega-Bac microbial products to use in wastewater systems for food manufacturers, water treatment plants, livestock farms, breweries and the hospitality industry. Another microbial solution, M-1000 200 is used to treat environmental damage caused by oil spills such as one treated by Micro-Bac in the Amazon Rain Forest as well as the products use in the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico.
